  When you're out this far, the food is just what you get, because you've been out in Julian all day and you're tired and hungry and not going to wait to get back to SD for some grub. The cafes know that and as such, often know they don't have to try very hard. I feel like this place is an exception. Pizza was very tasty, and ingredients seemed to be good quality, fresh fare. If it weren't for that, I'd be pretty miffed about the size and price of the pies. I think the crust is absolutely perfect, although if you like thicker, doughy stuff you'll be disappointed. I will echo the feedback that there seemed to be a lot of flies buzzing around the place, as we kept having to fan our food with our hands to keep the little buggers off. I hate to think what that means about the kitchen situation, but all in all the pizza was good enough to put that right out of my mind.

  damn, do they make good pizza!! I had the thai one and my brother the pesto ones, and they were AMAZING. my parents were also pleased with the tomato soup. the cider was amazing, but you can find that practically everywhere in Julian. The atmosphere was rustic and nice, though there were too many TVs broadcasting the sports channel for us to really enjoy the mood. A bit pricey, especially on the cider, but not an experience I regret

  This is the second time we've been here and we made the trip specifically to get pizza here. We even found an in door dining area which we missed the first time here. The pizza is awesome. All of their pizzas are medium so we had to order two for our party. Pepperoni mushroom for one and the Joe pizza for the second. Loved the Joe pizza. We would have loved to eat outside but I'm a big guy and plastic chairs scare me.

  The food was amazing and I especially enjoyed the choices of natural sodas on tap. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody and everybody.
